A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required for a temporary part-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Brent, commencing as soon as possible. Responsibilities
- You will plan and deliver captivating History lessons that bring the past to life, sparking curiosity and critical thinking in students.
- The role involves expertly guiding students through significant historical periods and interpretations, following a stimulating and well-structured curriculum.
- You will foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages lively discussion, historical inquiry, and the development of analytical skills.
- You will assess and monitor student progress in History with care, providing constructive feedback that supports their understanding and encourages a lifelong interest in the subject.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History is essential.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
- A deep and current understanding of British and world history, coupled with the ability to make the subject relevant and engaging, is expected.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management, are vital to creating a positive and intellectually stimulating learning environment.
