Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Amersham to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher.
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a supportive and collaborative Science department. This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators. The school also welcomes applications from unqualified teachers who have relevant classroom experience.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver dynamic, inclusive Science lessons that spark curiosity and encourage analytical thinking.
- Track student progress through regular assessment, offering clear, constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
- Actively contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
- Foster a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports high standards of behaviour and mutual respect.
- Engage in the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular activities where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will:
- A degree in a science-related discipline (essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
- Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Excellent communication skills and effective classroom management abilities.
- A strong passion for education and a commitment to supporting student achievement and progress.
