Simply Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors across our partner secondary schools in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. We''ll match you to the right school based on how you work, not just what''s available.

What''s on offer:

• Direct support from Josh, Branch Manager, one point of contact throughout

What the role involves:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons to secondary classes in the teacher''s absence
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining routines
• Keeping pupils on task across KS3-KS4 year groups and a range of subjects
• Settling groups quickly and managing transitions effectively
• Providing brief feedback to staff after each session
• Following safeguarding procedures at all times

What we need from you:

• Experience working with young people, schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar
• Confidence managing a classroom and handling low-level disruption
• Flexible, reliable and resilient
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A degree or previous school experience is useful but not essential
