My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their experienced team of design engineers, based near the scenic West-Midlands town of Shrewsbury.

Essential Criteria:

• A Degree in Hydrology or a related geoscience field
• Extensive experience within the industry
• Chartered Engineer status (or actively working to attain this)
• Evidence of having won proposals and projects
• Demonstrable experience of producing and reviewing technical reports
• Experience of managing projects and teams, effectively delivering projects
• A valid UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel to sites as and when required

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer to possess the following:

• Postgraduate qualification in geosciences (or similar, relevant discipline)
• A forward-thinking mindset, remaining flexible and adaptable across a range of projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of managing a range of stakeholder relations

• Lead business development strategies, overseeing the acquisition of sites, developing flood mitigation strategies, and supporting planning applications
• Provide technical leadership, producing the highest standards of project delivery
• Oversee authorship of Flood Risk Assessments and flood investigations
• Support the development of Sustainable Drainage Strategies (SuDS), ensuring technical excellence in report writing
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants
• Work with the team to develop and implement sustainable solutions
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
