This role offers the chance to work on sensitive, complex and rewarding Children''s Social Care matters, providing high-quality legal advice and advocacy to support the Council in meeting its statutory safeguarding duties and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families across the region. Key Responsibilities Providing high-quality legal advice and assistance to the People Directorate on Children''s Social Care matters.Conducting a varied caseload including public law and private law proceedings, as well as Deprivation of Liberty matters.Advocacy in court proceedings where appropriate. Key Requirements Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer with a current practising certificate.Proven experience in Children''s Social Care law.
