A vacancy has arisen in the Finance Business Partnering team for a Finance Business Partner to lead on the financial support provided to the Council and senior management team covering Resources and Chief Executive Service. The role will support the Head of Finance, Finance Manager and designated departmental teams in the provision of high quality, flexible, professional finance support to service departments. Supporting the Business Partnering team leading on support to budget holders with budget setting and monitoring of revenue and capital budgets.The role will be responsible for contributing to and supporting the Medium Term Financial Planning and year end processes. Providing technical expert advice and challenge to budget holders and officers to support effective financial decision-making. Ensure that the areas of the Accounts for which the officer is responsible for is accounted for in line with International Financing Reporting Standards (IFRS) and CIPFA''s Code of Practice for Local Government Accounting.
