We are growing our internal audit team and need several Senior Internal Auditors to join us at this exciting time at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies. Internal Audit will play an influential role in helping the business achieve its objectives during a period of transformation.Location:

Hybrid and fully flexible working, with our offices based near Reading at RG7 4PR. You will be onsite about 3 days per week.You will be joining the business as it embarks on a major transformation programme, to ensure that we can continue to help deliver the UK''s nuclear deterrent, both now and in the future. The Internal Audit function is crucial in ensuring that our governance, risk management and control frameworks are designed and operating effectively.A typical day for a Senior Internal Auditor could look like this:

Managing your own allocation of audits, from developing terms of reference through testing to reporting.Delivering high quality audits within agreed timelinesGaining agreement to audit findings and follow-up of audit issues and actions in collaboration with stakeholdersLeading and supporting the development of initiatives aligned with the audit strategy and best practiceIdentifying and developing improvements to the end-to-end audit processLeading on complex audits and delivering them to time and qualityKnowledge and application of risk based internal auditing, in the context of the three lines model and working with other assurance providersProficiency with audit techniques to address specific testing needs of individual audit and consultancy assignmentsEngaging with multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders to facilitate agreement and implementation of recommendationsBackground in a Science and Technology / Project based / regulatedExperience of auditing transformation or major infrastructure projects, manufacturing, cyber security or Environmental, Social and Governance.Chartered or Certified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, or Specialist Professional, Technical, Project Management or Change270 hours holiday- Market leading contributory pension scheme
