We are supporting a large, multi-billion-pound organisation in Liverpool in the recruitment of a Financial Reporting Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role sits within the Group Finance function and will play a key part in strengthening financial reporting, controls and technical accounting capability across the business.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to develop within a large, complex organisation, with strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation and review of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standardsOwnership and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong controls and integrity across financial reportingSupporting year-end and interim audit processes, acting as a key contact for auditorsAssisting with the development and maintenance of accounting policies, frameworks and technical guidanceIdentifying opportunities for process improvement and standardisation across the reporting functionSupporting month-end and year-end close activities where requiredWorking closely with wider finance teams to ensure consistent reporting standards and complianceAbout YouQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or close to qualificationStrong experience within financial reporting or technical accountingProven experience preparing statutory accounts and balance sheet reconciliationsGood ..... full job details .....
