Overview

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Radiotherapy and Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) team at UCLH. The post holder will provide comprehensive quality administrative support and work closely with the radiotherapy services quality team in the maintenance of the quality management system. They will form strong working relationships with the team leads, undertake delegated duties, and support departmental audits, service evaluation, quality improvement projects, organise meetings and record minutes. They will assist with data entry onto clinical systems, run reports and collate and analyse data. The post holder will review performance data, trends, and processes, and use analysis to identify opportunities for development and improvement. The post holder will be based in the PBT department in the new Grafton Way Building.

Responsibilities

Provide full and comprehensive administrative support to the Radiotherapy/PBT Quality Manager to ensure the effective implementation of the radiotherapy department quality system and the safety of patients and staff.

Maintain the overall quality management system in collaboration with the Radiotherapy/PBT Quality Management Team under the oversight of the services quality manager; work closely with Radiotherapy, PBT, and Radiotherapy Physics departments.

Take on delegated duties, undertake departmental audits, service evaluation and quality improvement projects, and organise meetings with recorded minutes.

Assist with data entry onto clinical systems, including data entry into the planning database; amend/input data into ARIA and run reports from departmental databases, ARIA and Epic.

Run reports, collate data, and monitor Key Performance Indicators as required within service specifications; review performance data, trends, and processes to identify opportunities for development and improvement.

Participate in tracking and monitoring compliance against relevant national targets and prepare quality reports for presentation at Trust meetings, radiotherapy network meetings, NHSE level meetings and those with the PBT private provider.

Support the Cancer Division Audit Programme and the designated clinical audit lead in delivering this; support the Macmillan Information and Support Radiographers in developing departmental patient information leaflets and booklets.

Liaise with staff internally and externally across the Trust and with partner and external organisations as required.

Work with the Radiotherapy/PBT Quality Management Team to maintain the overall quality management system.

To provide support for inspections, external audits or accreditation where required.
