IT Systems Engineer An exciting role for someone who can own 3rd-line support, build Power Apps, work confidently with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), ideally ERP Epicor data (certainly not essential), improve cyber security, and help move toward a data platform using Power BI/Fabric. Ability to deliver working systems for a manufacturing company. 3rd Line Support and IT Operations Ownership Strong Windows Server / Microsoft 365 / Azure AD troubleshooting Confident owning escalations (not just passing tickets) Fortinet Firewall Comfortable managing MSPs: SLAs, ticket quality, challenge bad advice Cyber Security and Risk Reduction Baseline cyber frameworks (Cyber Essentials / ISO-aware) Microsoft security stack familiarity (Defender, MFA, Conditional Access) Patch management and vulnerability awareness Can implement controls, not just write policies Security must be baked into delivery not an afterthought. Power Platform, Fabric and Data Modelling Power BI (data modelling, DAX fundamentals) Power Query / ETL thinking Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms Can design a single source of truth, not just reports Someone who moves from spreadsheets models insight.
