Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: -35,000 - -45,000 per annum

An established engineering company based in Aylesbury is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic design department working on a variety of mechanical systems and components.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following:

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)
  
  
• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  
  
• Minimum of 3 years'' experience in a mechanical design role
  
  
• Experience with heat exchangers would be highly desirable
  
  
• Good knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  
  
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  
  

• Producing detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings
  
  
• Designing mechanical components and systems for a range of applications
  
  
• Working closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs meet specification
  
  
• Creating and maintaining BOMs and technical documentation
  
  
• Assisting in prototype build and testing phases
  
  
• Contributing to design improvements and value engineering initiatives
