Rapier Employment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C E) Drivers to join one of the UK's leading supermarket distribution operations based in Erith and Dartford.

Pay & Benefits

• Days: £20.00 per hour
• Mid Shift / Backs: £20.75 per hour
• Nights: £22.93 per hour
• Overtime: Up to £26.63 per hour
• Enhanced rates after 12 weeks – up to £53.22 per hour

The Role
You'll be delivering chilled and ambient products to a major UK supermarket network using modern, well-maintained Class 1 vehicles.
Duties include:

• Store deliveries and trunking work
• Operating safely and professionally at all times
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Working within a busy 24/7 distribution operation
• Minimal manual handling

Shift Information
Flexible shifts available across a 7-day operation (including weekends).

Start Times

• AM: 03:00 – 08:00
• PM: 17:00 – 02:00

Shift Length

• Typically 9–15 hours

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC (DQC)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements)
• Right to work in the UK
• Professional, reliable and safety-focused attitude

Assessment Process
Before starting, you'll complete:

• Theory test
• Yard manoeuvre assessment
• On-road driving assessment
