Our manufacturing client is looking to add a Material Planner to support production and keep materials flowing across their UK manufacturing sites.This role sits within the Materials team and is a hands-on, operational role, ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the action, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure material availability for the Production Facilities.This is a busy, fast-paced role and responsibilities of the role include:Running MRP outputs and converting demand into purchase ordersRaising, maintaining and updating POs in line with production requirementsChasing suppliers to confirm deliveries and push orders through when neededProactively managing shortages and flagging risks before production is impactedLiaising daily with suppliers, production and internal teams to keep schedules on trackResolving delivery issues, discrepancies and supplier queriesKeeping systems and material data accurate and up to date Experience and knowledge required for the roleExperience in materials planning, expediting, buying, or a similar supply chain roleComfortable working with MRP systems and SpreadsheetsConfident dealing with suppliers and building working relationshipsHighly organised, detail-focused and able to juggle multiple prioritiesA proactive mindset - you don''t wait for problems, you get ahead of themWhy apply?Key role in keeping production running smoothlySupportive team environment with training and progression opportunitiesA role ..... full job details .....
