Childrens Home Manager

Salary: -45,000 - -60,000 (DOE + performance bonus)
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home. You will ensure the highest standards of care and compliance, working closely with Ofsted, the local authority, and your staff team to create a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the children''s home to achieve at least "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all young people in line with legislation and statutory guidance.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate staff, creating a positive team culture with high morale and low turnover.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader who is committed to improving the lives of children.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- At least 2 years'' experience in a children''s residential setting, including supervisory/management roles.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and children''s rights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to therapeutic, child-centred care.
