Regular roster of 4 on 4 off shift, availability for 18:00 - 05:30, Overtime rate of 1.5, Free onsite parking, complimentary meals and refreshments, free uniform, free life insurance, company sick pay, pension scheme. Start dates ASAP subject to referencing.Main Duties and Responsibilities
Assign teams and vehicles to flight activity (allocation) and maintain contact with teams via phone to manage their movements and completion of flights servicing against the daily plan and to events on the airport.Prioritise and adjust activities accordingly to ensure the on time serving of all night and day flightsPlan and manage the rosters for the transport teams (day and night)Plan the teams for the daytime (airside food uplifts) and the flights and coverage required.Carry out a handover to the daytime (bond) team leader with relevant information including designated vehicles for preloading and the flights required to be on them.Performance monitor team members daily and escalate concerns to Duty ManagerPlan and manage the team’s output to ensure delivery of business, section and customer targets.Ensure shift briefings, capture of key information and display / report relevant KPI’s.Attend/conduct daily operational meetings/briefings. Present accurate information and data as reqd.Resolve conflict/provide solutions by exercising high levels of influencing, negotiation and communication skills.Create a positive working environment.Ensure compliance with EU driver regulations.Maintain legal/compliance across health and safety, food safety, Department for Transport (Daft), security, gateOPEX (in-house operational excellence programme).Plan and arrange vehicle maintenance / repair of defects as required to ensure fleet availabilityPoint of contact between the unit and the airside operation.Contribute and manage within defined systems of working to ensure quality of product, service to the customer and team progression/development.Follow company, process and section procedures.Instigate and support continuous improvement initiatives.Deputise for Duty Manager when required.Rotate through different departments/units as reasonably required.Monitor flight information screens and local email account during the shift and respond to events.Conduct DfT checking as required (vehicles, food bags equipment) etc.Ability to cover a 7-day operation.Requirements of the Team Leader (Nights)
Previous experience in a supervisory role leading teamsValid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph cardDriver CPC qualification essentialPrevious HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantageKnowledge of the Road Traffic ActPrevious experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history.
