Operational Conference and Events Manager
to lead a dynamic events team and deliver unforgettable guest experiences across a variety of high-profile functions.About the Role: As the Operational Conference and Events Manager, you will oversee the smooth delivery of all conferences, banquets, meetings, and special events. This hands-on leadership role requires a meticulous organiser with a talent for team management, client service, and operational excellence.Youll be the central point of contact between clients, hotel departments, and third-party vendorsensuring that every event reflects the high standards of our elegant and historic venue.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the daily operations of our events team to ensure seamless event execution.Ensure event spaces are pristine, functional, and set to specification.Manage AV, lighting, and technical setups in collaboration with internal and external teams.Recruit, train, and schedule events staff to match operational demands.Liaise with clients and coordinate with internal departments to meet and exceed expectations.Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards.Monitor budgets and control costs related to staffing, equipment, and inventory.Gather guest feedback and implement improvements for continuous excellence.What The Client Is Looking For:
Proven experience in event operations within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment.Strong leadership skills with a background in managing fast-paced teams.Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.Solid knowledge of event logistics, FandB service, and AV coordination.Proficiency in event management tools and Microsoft Office.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Desirable Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Hospitality or Event Management.First Aid and Health and Safety certifications.Awareness of sustainability practices and industry trends.What Is Offered:
