You will manage small to medium sized Environmental Impact Assessments projects and work closely with our clients. You’ll help improve quality of life with your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, in areas such as protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. The work is in diverse, high-profile projects and locations. Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development, and delivering optimal environmental outcomesCoordinate the delivery of environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams across a range of projectsUndertake your own work to an excellent standard, and review the work of othersProactively manage selected projects or components of projects, including resource allocation, subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback, and communicate changes effectivelyContribute to tender proposals/bids as part of a project-winning teamProvide environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleaguesEngage with consultees and stakeholdersWork closely with technical specialistsDevelop outstanding reports with the ability to summarise and explain outcomes to non-technical audiencesManage projects with attention to technical, quality, commercial, and health and safety performanceQualifications and Experience

A good working knowledge of EIA practices and procedures and a solid understanding of environmental and sustainability principlesExperience across a range of project types, ideally within energy, residential/mixed-use/regeneration, and other major infrastructure projects including rail/highwaysPractical working knowledge of the UK planning system and consenting processStrong report writing, verbal and presentation skills with proven experience in reviewing the work of others to ensure qualityExperience in multi-disciplinary coordination of projects, with project management and technical skills, and professionalism in report and presentation deliveryExperience in consulting and negotiating with planning authorities, regulators, and stakeholdersDesirable: Experience in SEA and/or Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA); knowledge of sustainability, waste or carbon assessmentsDesirable: Associate Member of IEMAWhy Arcadis?
