Overview: Adept Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected engineering and manufacturing business based in Pontefract. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to support the ongoing performance and safety of the facility and its equipment. This is a key position within the operations team, with responsibilities spanning reactive repairs, proactive inspections, and maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance tasks across the siteDiagnose and repair faults on a variety of equipment including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsMaintain and service welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and general workshop toolsSupport ongoing site upgrades, including preparation for new installationsEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and internal standardsKeep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues as necessaryEssential Requirements:Practical experience in machinery or facilities maintenance, ideally within a welding/fabrication environmentGood working knowledge of MIG/TIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, CNC machines, and standard workshop toolsA safety-conscious approach with strong attention to detailAble to work independently and contribute positively within a team environmentDesirable:NVQ, City and Guilds, or other relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical ..... full job details .....
