We are looking for a skilled Lead Carbon Data and Governance Specialist to take responsibility for the governance, management, and reporting of carbon emissions across the Group. In this role, you will ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and transparent, while supporting divisional teams to strengthen reporting capability and contribute to the Group’s wider decarbonisation goals.

The RoleLead Carbon Data and Governance Specialist
London – Hybrid
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Principal Accountabilities
Implement Group GHG reporting governance for Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions
Ensure accurate, consistent, and auditable emissions reporting aligned with international standards
Maintain effective data quality controls and coordinate third-party assurance activities
Guide divisions in aligning local reporting with Group requirements
Lead internal training on GHG data governance and reporting
Coordinate data collection, validation, and submission
Resolve data gaps and champion continuous improvement
Support quarterly carbon footprint analysis
Translate data into actionable recommendations for emissions reduction
Assist with external climate-related disclosures (e.g., CDP, TCFD, SECR, ESOS)
Qualifications And Experience
Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
Strong knowledge of carbon accounting frameworks (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SECR, TCFD)
Professional certification in carbon accounting or sustainability reporting desirable
Experience with Ecometrica platform preferred
Proven experience managing sustainability or carbon data in a global context
Skilled in Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Clear communicator with ability to influence at all levels
Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
Skilled in delivering training and guidance to non-specialist audiences
This role is central to our sustainability strategy, supporting teams across the Group to strengthen transparency and deliver accurate, reliable reporting. By providing insight and guidance, you will help ensure progress towards our carbon reduction commitments. We are looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and able to translate complex carbon data into clear, actionable information that supports effective decision-making.
