The role is mechanically focused but requires electrical knowledge to support diagnostics and minor repairs.Performing proactive/reactive maintenance on mechanical machineryDiagnosing and repairing mechanical faults (gears, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics)Supporting electrical diagnostics (PLC systems, control circuits, motor controls)Driving continuous improvement and supporting machinery upgradesMinimizing downtime through close collaboration with production teamsThe ideal candidate will have:Mechanical apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or higher (ONC/HNC)Experience in mechanical maintenance within FMCG or food productionStrong skills in fault diagnosis and mechanical repairA basic understanding of electrical systems and PLC diagnosticsKnowledge of mechanical safety standards and working practicesDesirable Skills:Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Familiarity with continuous improvement processesExposure to mechanical systems such as:Conveyor systemsPackaging lines and ovensMixing/blending ..... full job details .....
