The Opportunity
A well-established and growing wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its technical support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented financial services professional who enjoys producing high-quality suitability reports, conducting technical research, and supporting advisers in delivering outstanding client outcomes.
Working closely with Financial Advisers and the wider operations team, you will play a key role in the end-to-end advice process, ensuring recommendations are accurately documented, compliant, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters within agreed service levels.
- Support advisers across a broad range of financial planning areas including:
- Investments (ISAs, Unit Trusts, Investment Bonds and Venture Capital Trusts)
- Pensions
- Inheritance Tax Planning
- Protection Planning
- Review new business cases and gain a thorough understanding of recommendations before drafting compliant documentation.
- Produce suitability reports for annual reviews involving new business recommendations.
- Input and maintain client information on the firm''s back-office CRM system.
- Liaise with advisers regarding missing information, supporting documentation, and fact-finding requirements.
- Run critical yield calculations and provider illustrations where required.
- Conduct technical research to support advice recommendations and maintain compliance standards.
- Prepare and submit complete advice files for review and processing.
- Support the business in maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.
- Keep up to date with industry legislation, regulatory developments, and advice framework changes.
- Build strong working relationships with advisers, colleagues, and management teams.
- Manage individual workflows effectively while contributing to wider team objectives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training workshops, and internal knowledge assessments.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Salary up to £55,000 DOE.
