Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Podiatrist in Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust to join the Podiatry Department at Amersham Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional and clinical leadership in the strategic development, planning, and operational delivery of podiatry wound care services across both primary and secondary care settings in Buckinghamshire. You will act as a key source of expertise in wound care, managing the holistic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex wound care conditions. You will also be responsible for delivering evidence-based podiatry interventions and clinical advice aimed at reducing the need for acute interventions, while supporting patients to maintain mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing. Main duties of the job As an Advanced Podiatrist, you will be working collaboratively with the Head of Service, Podiatry Leads, and a wider team of healthcare professionals to help ensure a consistent and high-quality podiatry service is delivered across the county. You will be responsible for supporting the development of effective treatment planning, including off-loading strategies and preventative risk management for high-risk patients and those requiring specialised wound care.
