Business Support Officer

One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Business Support Officer on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week. Overview: To provide high quality business support, management information, and administrative functions to support the service. Responsibilities: Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all elements of financial systems. To ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for identifying and recovering any overpayments made, with autonomy to agree payment plans within an agreed framework. To ensure goods and services are acquired via agreed methods of procurement. Responsible for making payments using a Newport City Council credit card, in line with NCC policies and procedures. To manage, maintain and verify performance information using systems, including information analysis, and production and dissemination of reports. To communicate with partner agencies, colleagues and management to provide information, help and advice. To be a first point of contact for teams within the service, to provide information and guidance, and to resolve queries to support the efficient operation of the teams.
