The opportunity: We are looking for a freelance Content Engineer (or Content Architect) to design the.*content foundations* for a large-scale digital ecosystem of 200+ sites. This role will focus on defining the.*principles, models, and specifications* that make content structured, semantic, composable, and ready to support personalization and emerging AI capabilities. What you''ll be doing: Define intelligent content principles to guide structure, reuse, governance, and scalability across the ecosystem. Design an intelligent content blueprint including: Content model (types, relationships, modular structures) Domain model (business entities and journeys) Metadata and taxonomy model (for search, personalization, semantic enrichment) Signals needed for personalization and dynamic delivery Translate the blueprint into CMS capability requirements that ensure the right content-related capabilities, features and workflows are in place. Produce clear technical documentation to guide CMS selection and implementation teams. What we want from you: Strong background in content architecture and both domain and content modelling at enterprise scale. Experience with taxonomy, metadata, and semantic structuring. Familiarity with headless and decoupled CMS and experience platforms (AEM, Sitecore, Contentful, Optimizely, Drupal).
