Position: Warehouse Supervisor

• Location: Essex          
• Salary: £15 per hour 
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent     

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse operatives and forklift drivers
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of orders
• Monitor the condition and quality of stock, especially perishable items like bananas and tropical fruit
• Conduct daily checks to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and maintaining accurate records
• Support new staff with onboarding and training
• Manage shift handovers and ensure smooth communication across teams
• Report operational issues, damages, or delays to the Warehouse Manager promptly
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
• Support in implementing continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader in a chilled, food, or FMCG environment
• Strong knowledge of stock handling, food hygiene and manual handling procedures
• Ability to lead by example and manage performance effectively
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
