Supply Desk is urgently seeking friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join our growing team and work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Watford and nearby Hertfordshire areas – including Bushey, Rickmansworth, Abbots Langley, and Kings Langley.
Whether you’re an experienced TA or just starting your career in education, supply work offers a fantastic opportunity to build experience, gain confidence, and make a real impact in the classroom — all with flexible hours that suit your schedule.
We have immediate opportunities for daily supply, short-term assignments, and longer-term roles across all age groups and settings.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:Supporting pupils in class under the guidance of the teacher
Assisting with learning activities and classroom tasks
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra help
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional needs, where required
Preparing classroom materials and helping with tidying/organising resources
Following school safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies
Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or other settings)
A genuine passion for supporting learning and development
A proactive, patient, and flexible attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Willingness to travel to schools across Watford and surrounding areas
Bonus if you have:
Experience supporting pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
Relevant TA qualifications or CACHE/NVQ certifications
Experience in primary or secondary settings
