Job Profile
As the successful Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and upgrading electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. You will ensure products meet strict quality standards while supporting continuous improvement activities. This role requires attention to detail, hands-on assembly skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and visitors to the site.

Duties:
  • Assemble and test electronic components and systems according to drawings, and SOPs
  • Carry out electro-mechanical assembly including fans, motors, and heaters to specification
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometres, and verniers
  • Conduct inspections and functional testing to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Complete all documentation and maintain traceability records
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to improve output and quality
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and visiting stakeholders
  • Support training of colleagues in line with the skills matrix and take on ad hoc departmental tasks as required
  • Adhere to safety procedures and ensure PPE is used appropriately
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to company standards

Skills & Attributes:
  • Experience in electronic assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, and SOPs
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
  • Knowledge of small assembly tools and soldering skills for small components
  • Experience assembling small, detailed items such as model kits desirable
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to manage time effectively and remain professional under pressure
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Basic IT skills

Education / Certificates:
  • Engineering or electronics-related qualification desirable, but relevant hands-on experience will be considered

Hours of Work:
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 07:30 – 13:00 or 08:00 – 13:30
  • Overtime available paid at x1.5hrs and x2 Sunday
