As
Global Medical Publications and Communications (GMPC) Manager - Neuroscience , you will:Develop and implement the publication strategy and scientific communication plans for assigned neuroscience products and indications across the product lifecycle (from RandD to postmarketing).Optimize the reach, engagement, and impact of our study results, internally and externally, through sophisticated publication packages in line with the therapeutic area objectives and compliance considerations.Bring scientific and medical research results to the scientific community, healthcare professionals, patients and their caregivers with integrity and accuracy in a transparent, efficient, effective, and timely mannerMain Responsibilities
Publication Planning
Coordinate the development and maintenance of rolling 12-month strategic publication plans in conjunction with the cross-functional team, any affiliate publication teams and external medical writing and communication agenciesDevelop and maintain relationships across Ipsen to ensure that all relevant information is integrated into one centrally managed product or therapy area publication planPrepare for and follow up actions from regular publication team meetings for assigned projects to drive progress in publishing scientific resultsLiaise with Global Medical Information and other stakeholder groups to ensure up-to-date bibliographies and reference libraries exist for assigned products
Management of Publications
Manage progress and drive the preparation, review, approval, and congress/journal submission of scientific publicationsManage medical communications agencies and financial aspects of assigned projectsEnsure that all publication activities are of high scientific and medical quality and meet Good Publication Practices standardsPrepare, review, revise and edit a variety of scientific documents for external publication for assigned projects, when necessary
Information Cascade and Training
Perform any other activity as may reasonably be required from time to timeDevelop and maintain Scientific Communication Platforms for assigned products in collaboration with internal stakeholdersCommunicate publication and communication planning objectives and processes to key stakeholders and ensure their proactive involvement in delivery
Medical Communications
Assist Therapeutic Areas in the creation and review of medical communication activities, ensuring that the most-up-date, scientific information is included and in compliance with all global and local regulations and guidelinesSupport Therapeutic Areas with congress activities, including providing publications input into the development of congress highlight reports and symposia activity, as required
Budget
Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance and other relevant functions to meet the company\''s objectives
Qualifications
Relevant university degree (BS/BA) or advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (e.g., PharmD or PhD)Demonstrated experience of publications and medical communications management in a pharmaceutical company or agency environmentProven experience in publication planning and project management, coordinating the production and delivery of multiple documents, including experience with DatavisionExcellent knowledge of industry regulations and ethical standards related to publications such as Good Publication Practice (GPP) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)Experience of working in a matrix team with strong organizational skills, commercial awareness and sensitivity to cultural differencesProven experience of scientific medical writing in a business environmentExperience of developing Scientific Communication PlatformsEnglish fluency.IPSEN is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications, individuals are encouraged to apply regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
