RNA Scientist Location Cambridge Sector Biotechnology Salary £26,000 - £35,000 (depending on interview performance and experience - lower end of the range for BSc/MSc graduates) Full time, permanent role We are currently offering the opportunity for a scientist to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to contribute to the development of novel RNA-based therapeutics. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual with hands-on laboratory experience within an industrial or academic setting, with a focus on RNA-based research. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. The Role As a scientist within the RNA team, you will be responsible for: Utilising DNA to perform screening and optimisation experiments for in vitro transcription (IVT), Producing mRNA and saRNA and performing subsequent RNA purification and analysis, Working closely with clients and providing them with valuable experimental data. Current / Recent Experience Required: BSc or MSc in molecular biology or related (essential). Hands-on laboratory experience with RNA-based projects during a BSc/Msc or within an industrial environment (essential). Experience with RNA-based techniques e.g. RNA extraction, RNA isolation, RNA quantification, in vitro transcription (IVT), RNA sequencing. Expertise with molecular biology techniques e.g. electrophoresis, ELISA, qPCR, flow cytometry (essential). Profile Required: Right to work in the UK ..... full job details .....
