Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering & Design Capability

Are you passionate about advancing systems engineering practices and shaping the way complex projects are delivered? We''re looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Process and Methods team, helping projects use and evolve cutting-edge engineering methods, tools, and processes.

As a Principal Engineer in Systems Engineering & Design Capability, you will:

• Support projects in adopting and applying state-of-the-art systems engineering processes and tools

• Provide consultancy-style guidance, training, and tailored support to ensure best practice adoption

• Drive process improvement, efficiency, and consistency across teams

• Implement and champion Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts in live projects

• Ensure a full-lifecycle approach is embedded in system design and development

• Keep up-to-date with technical advancements and continuously develop your expertise

• Strong background in systems engineering with lifecycle experience on complex projects

• Knowledge of MBSE and modern systems engineering methods

• Experience representing mechanical, electrical, software, ILS, human factors, or control/analysis areas in architectures

• Proactive, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Relevant degree (or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be British Citizens or dual nationals with British citizenship. All successful applicants will undergo baseline security checks.
