Global Markets (GM) Summer Analyst programme provides exposure to products across FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) and Equities. Interns rotate across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Platform and Electronic Trading.Responsibilities
As a summer analyst your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Sales
Supporting the salesforce in their daily activitiesGaining exposure to client relationship managementPreparing marketing material and client presentationsExploring sales leads through market and company researchDelivering analytical projects around client profitability and market trendsTrading
Supporting traders in their daily activitiesShadowing senior team members and undertaking mock trading as a hands-on approach to learning risk management and market makingAnalyzing client and market data to help develop and execute tradesFollowing and analyzing macro and company-specific events in real time and anticipating outcomesStructuring
Supporting senior structurers, traders and salesforce across GM with exposure to clients and productsGaining front-to-back exposure of GM transactions (client relationship management with Sales to risk management and pricing with Trading)Delivering projects around topical themes across asset classes (Equities, Rates, FX and Credit) with Quants or ResearchFollowing macro, markets and industry events in real time and providing solutions to institutional clientsPlatform and Electronic Trading
Learn how the Platform team collaborates with clients, Sales and Trading, Quants and Technology to create solutions used globallyUnderstand the cross-asset electronic trading platform that drives best execution for clients and internal desksGain exposure to projects such as automating workflows, building pricing and risk tools, and using data to reveal market trendsLeverage programming skills and interest in derivatives to build a prototype applicationDemonstrate analytical skills by deriving insights from client and trading dataEligibility
Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a completion timeline between September 2026 and July 2027. Evidence of completion date may be requested before extending an offer.On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent).Must be available to join the programme from June to August 2026.Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full-time employment to commence in July 2027; some lines of business may offer January or April start dates. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered.What we are looking for
