German speaking Assistant Accountant 6 months FTC

We are seeking a skilled German speaking accountant to join an international team based in London - Westminster (hybrid work). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate group of professionals in the conference and event industry. This is a 6 Month FTC with a great opportunity to become permanent for the right person.Key Responsibilities:In this hands-on role, you''ll be a key contributor to our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight across our global business. Your responsibilities will include:Generating weekly financial summaries for managementManaging transactions in multiple currenciesPreparing and filing monthly VAT returns and German VAT complianceReconciling bank and credit card statementsHandling accruals, provisions, and prepayments independentlySupporting month-end closings and annual financial statements (HGB)Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projectsAbout you:We''re looking for someone who is analytical, self-motivated, and fluent in both numbers and communication:At least 5 years of experience in accountingSolid understanding of general ledger and sub-ledger systemsFamiliarity with German VAT rules and inter-company processesStrong Excel skills and openness to learning new toolsFluent in German and English (spoken and written)Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple ..... full job details .....
