Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurocritical Care at the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. 1 year fixed term post for candidates who have recently achieved CCT, or equivalent level of training, in Anaesthetics or Intensive Care with full GMC registration and Licence to Practice. Suitable for a clinician with an interest in Neuro-Anaesthesia or Neuro-Critical Care to strengthen an application for a Consultant post or as part of a Portfolio Pathway application.Responsibilities
Contribute at a senior level to the running of a busy Neuro-ICU, including supervision of junior colleagues and trainees.Maintain a 1:8 full-shift on-call rota covering the Airway tier of the Neuro ICU.Participate in twice-daily consultant-led ICU ward rounds, daily clinical reviews of critically unwell patients, and all aspects of daily medical care.Engage in teaching, quality improvement projects, and contribute to the Neuro-ICUs clinical governance and teaching programmes.Take an active role in day-to-day unit operations under the supervision of duty consultants and prepare for future career progression to Consultant level.About us
