Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based in the North East and are looking for a time-served Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment across the site, while also supporting mechanical maintenance tasks as needed. This role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant machinery. Duties include:- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on plant equipment and systems Diagnose electrical faults and implement timely repairs Assist in mechanical maintenance and repairs when required Support installation and commissioning of new equipment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Document all work carried out, using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime Identify areas for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and efficiency Skills and Qualifications Required NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities Basic understanding of mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics Familiarity with PLC systems (preferred) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Essential Requirement/Experience Required ..... full job details .....
