The role sits close to the trading desks and combines classic second-line market risk oversight with a strong focus on risk systems, data and tooling. Key responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of risk-monitoring tools drawing on data from trading and risk systems and other internal sources. Provide daily and intraday market risk oversight of power and gas trading portfolios, including proprietary strategies. Review and explain PandL, VaR, sensitivities and stress/scenario results, distinguishing genuine risk moves from model or data effects. Monitor VaR, position and stop-loss limits, escalating breaches and advising on corrective actions where appropriate. Own and maintain key data mapping and reference tables used for VaR, exposure and limit reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Use hands-on technical skills (advanced Excel, automation, Python or similar) to enhance reporting, dashboards and intraday monitoring. ..... full job details .....
