The young people here are vulnerable, with autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and severe learning disabilities. Many are non-verbal and rely on PECS, Makaton, or visual supports to communicate. They need careful supervision throughout the night, reassurance when unsettled, and safe responses if they present behaviours like spitting, biting, or self-harm.
