Warehouse Operative

Location - Reading

2 shifts available

06:00-14:30 or 14:30 - 23:00

-14.50 per hour (holiday paid)

Experience:

1. Packaging & shipping of industrial components preferred
2. Processing of goods through company or third-party systems

Main Job Duties:

1. Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the company
2. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against orders and records.
3. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
4. Packages select preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
5. Use of computer programs such as ERP, Internet, regularly throughout the shift.
6. Loading/Unloading of company or third-party vehicles.
7. Operate company forklift trucks & manual handling equipment for department and in support of other departments in the plant.
8. Undertake and complete all company mandated training.

1. Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
2. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
3. Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
4. Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
5. Capacity to demonstrate retention of knowledge and products.
6. Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
7. Ability to demonstrate consistent high quantity completion while maintaining high quality packing standards.
8. Basic computer skills (email, word)

1. Ability to demonstrate flexibility /versatility combined with initiative, drive and ability to meet deadlines (eFlex timings)
2. Good interpersonal skills
