We are currently recruiting a proactive and dedicated

Kitchen Porter

(Casual Capacity / must be available to work Weekends)

to be a part of our main Culinary Central Gem of the Hotel, the Kitchen Department.

Key qualities we are looking from the Kitchen Porter:

As Kitchen Porter, you will work along side a team of talented Chefs and your main aim will be ensuring the back of house kitchen areas alongside the Staff Restaurant with the equipment is kept clean, tidy, safe and hygienic.The main duties include unloading deliveries, washing up and completing deep cleaning tasks within the kitchen as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Knowledge:

Must have a minimum of 2 years full experience in a 5* Luxury Hotel or Luxury Restaurant in a proactive Kitchen Porter position.Full understanding the importance of Food Safety alongside Health and Safety in the Kitchen environment.Ability to multi task.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a selection of Chefs.Must be available in working late nights in accordance with supporting the Kitchen Service Operation.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:

Supply clean dishes and pots on time, and a clean kitchen in accordance with the hotels policies and procedures.Making sure that the Back of House Kitchen areas throughout the Operational areas of the Hotel Property are cleaned impeccably and left presented in an immaculate presentation for the Chefs in undertaking their duties.Making sure that the Staff Restaurant, The Cube is regularly cleaned throughout the day and left presented in an immaculate presentation.Keeps glassware organised at all times and stores clean dishes in the proper location,Follows proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef, Sous Chef or Pastry Chef.
