Test Analyst

OverviewSMR has seen exceptional growth in recent years and continues to be a key strategic focus for RAC. As a Test Analyst supporting this division, you''ll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of systems and processes that directly impact our customers and commercial success. You''ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to plan, execute, and document testing across a range of systems — ensuring all outputs meet the highest standards. You''ll identify issues and trends that could impact revenue, customer experience, or operational channels, and ensure reference data is accurate and up to date across both production and test environments.
Responsibilities
Test new products and processes to ensure robust performance
Review specifications and design test coverage plans
Identify system, data, and process failures and recommend improvements
Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and impact assessments
Provide high-quality advice and insight to stakeholders
Monitor for trends that could impact operations or customer experience
Collaborate across teams to support continuous improvement
Qualifications
ISTQB Foundation Software Testing qualification (preferred)
Experience in test analysis within high-pressure environments
Ability to work across different project methodologies
Creative problem-solving and ability to translate technical requirements
Beneficial to have a basic understanding of the motoring industry
Experience implementing testing best practices tailored to project needs
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Deadline-focused with a proactive approach to identifying defects and bugs
Good knowledge of JIRA
Broad understanding of software technologies including SQL, Microsoft Azure, REST APIs and the use of Swagger and Postman
Experience of working with 3rd parties is desirable
Awareness of regulatory requirements including Insurance and FSA regulations
