Role Title: Manufacturing Team Manager (Fixed Term Contract – 10 Months)

Location: Carlisle

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Night Shift (10pm – 6am)

Contract Type: Fixed Term (-10 months)

Salary: £45,000 + 10% Bonus

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure consistent operational performance and continuous improvement. You will drive results through effective people management, ensuring optimal delivery of product, process, and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Provide regular feedback and support to promote team engagement and skill development.

Operational Efficiency

• Deliver production to plan and effectively manage resource deployment.
• Monitor and improve metrics such as OEE, waste levels, downtime, labour efficiency, and output accuracy.

Systems and Reporting

• Utilise key business systems to gather and report management information, including production data, absence, and efficiency.

Communication and Collaboration

• Facilitate strong communication between teams, support functions, and engineering.
• Promote a customer-focused mindset and contribute to service improvements.

Quality and Compliance

• Adhere to quality management systems and hygiene standards.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and issues in production, equipment, or staffing are quickly resolved.
