Behaviour Support Assistant
Leader Education are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school based in Cramlington, Northumberland.This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.This is a full-time role Monday-Thursday 8:30-16:30 and Friday 8:30-16:00The Role: Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learningWorking closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviourProviding targeted behaviour support to pupils who may present challenging behaviourSupporting whole-school behaviour strategies and interventionsBuilding positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staffHelping to create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour supportStrong communication and teamwork skillsThe ability to remain resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentA genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their potential What We Offer: A supportive and welcoming school environmentConsistent working hours with early finish on FridaysAn opportunity to make a real difference in pupils livesOngoing support and developmentRefer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per ..... full job details .....
