HGV Technician Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE) + Tool AllowanceLocation: BarnetHours: 12:45pm 20:30pm (Late Shift) The Role We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team on a permanent late shift. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are safe, compliant and roadworthy. This is a hands-on role suited to a technician confident in diagnostics, EV systems and general mechanical repairs. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, inspections and repairs to HGV and light commercial vehicles Diagnose faults using industry diagnostic systems (Texa, Jaltest and Snap-on) Complete MOT preparation work to DVSA standards Work on electric and hybrid vehicles safely (high-voltage systems) Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs Perform fabrication and welding repairs where required Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to high safety standards Accurately record job details and completed work Essential Requirements NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or Light Vehicle equivalent) Proven EV / Hybrid vehicle experience IMI qualification in Electric / Hybrid vehicles Full UK Driving Licence Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work independently on a late shift Desirable MOT Qualification Welding certification or fabrication experience HGV licence (Class 1 or 2) Experience within a fleet or municipal workshop ..... full job details .....
