Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Registered Manager to work for our client based in Birmingham.We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the support and accommodation team, providing care for children and young people aged 8 – 18 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will oversee the management of all aspects of the 3 bed home, ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and individualised care. This role requires a proactive leader capable of building a nurturing and supportive environment while working collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people in care.Duties of a Registered Manager will include:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the support and accommodation facilityLead, motivate, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needsPromote a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the teamDevelop, implement, and review personalized support plans that address the emotional, social, and developmental needs of young peopleFoster a safe, positive, and therapeutic living environment that promotes growth and well-beingSupport young people in their transition to independence, equipping them with life skills and confidenceEnsure the facility operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, including safeguarding protocols and Children’s Homes RegulationsConduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high standards of care and identify areas for improvementEnsure all safeguarding incidents are reported, documented, and addressed appropriatelyWork closely with external professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, therapists, and schools, to deliver holistic and integrated supportEngage with families and guardians, keeping them informed and involved where appropriateManage budgets, staff rotas, and resources to ensure effective service deliveryKeep accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirementsEnsure staff training is up-to-date, including safeguarding and therapeutic approachesSkills of a Registered Manager required:Extensive experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)Proven leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide staff effectively.Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory requirements in care servicesAbility to develop and implement individualised support plans with a focus on positive outcomesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with young people, families, staff, and external stakeholdersProblem-solving and resilience to handle challenges with a calm and solution-focused approachKnowledge of therapeutic and trauma-informed care methodsIn order to be considered for the role of Registered Manager:Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within children’s residential care, supported accommodation, or a related settingRelevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalentComprehensive knowledge of safeguarding protocols, Children’s Homes Regulations, and other applicable legislationExperience leading teams and managing care for children with Emotional and Behavioural DifficultiesAdditional training in therapeutic or trauma-informed care approaches is highly desirableHours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (on call support is required for this role)This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, providing them with the support and stability they need to thrive.If you are a passionate, experienced professional who thrives in a leadership role, we want to hear from you!To learn more or to be considered for this position or to obtain further information please contact the Health and Social Care Team on 01922 725445 Option 5Alternatively, please submit your CV tocare@tudoremployment.co.uk or Register Online – https://tinyurl.com/TEAHSCREG0Join us and be a part of a dedicated team providing care and support to young people in a meaningful and impactful way!
