Public Area AttendantHousekeepingGENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE

To exceed guest expectations and provide exceptional service for guests arriving, visiting, staying and departing from the Hotel. Creating clean, presentable, and hygienic environment for staff and guest areas. Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all public areas in the Front and Back of house, cloakroom, and public restrooms.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.

The cleanliness of all areas should exceed guest expectations.2.

Keep the Mens and Ladies public restrooms clean and tidy and fully replenished .3.

Keep staff Ladies changing and restroom rooms clean and tidy and fully replenished.4.

Ensure guest lifts are cleaned to the standards required.5.

Ensure all public areas including some of the FandB outlets are fully presentable and clean.6.

Clean waiter service areas on all floors when required.7.

To be familiar with cloakroom standards and cover cloakroom when required.8.

To cover corridors and back of house areas when required, ensure they are presentable and clean.9.

Undertake any other incidental jobs within the scope of the department and as requested by the Manager and be fully flexible with day and evening shift patterns.10.

Report all missing items and lost and found items to Security immediately.11.

Report all items in disrepair or damaged to maintenance.12.

Alert the relevant team member in the Housekeeping Office of any suspicious people or activity in any guest areas.13.

Be part of daily departmental briefings.14.

Be fully aware of all activities in the hotel and be familiar with all outlets.15.

Maintain uniform and grooming standards as required.16.

Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.17.

Carry out the policies and procedures of The Berkeley whilst maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork in line with The Berkeleys company standards.18.

Handle guest requests in a timely and professional manner at all times.19.

Check the daily function sheet, to be informed at what time rushes may occur.20.

Do not leave cloakroom unsupervised.21.
