Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Product Manager to support the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing optimisation of SAP solutions within our Retail domain. This role primarily focuses on SAP ECC Retail while providing hands-on support to the organisation''s transition to SAP S/4HANA.
You will work closely with senior product managers, business stakeholders, technical teams, and programme leads to ensure our SAP platforms continue to enable efficient retail operations today, while helping shape the roadmap for our next-generation S/4HANA landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their product career who is eager to develop deeper SAP Retail expertise and gain exposure to a major digital transformation programme.
Key accountabilities, responsibilities, and measures
Key Responsibilities
- SAP ECC Retail (Primary Focus)
- Support day-to-day product management activities across SAP ECC Retail modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI integration points, Retail Pricing, Article Master, Listings, management of IDOCs) and management of incident processes.
- Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Collaborate with technical teams to triage incidents, assess change requests, and ensure timely, highquality delivery.
- Conduct functional analysis and support solution design under the guidance of senior product leaders ensuring a fit to standard approach is adopted.
- Participate in testing cycles including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Maintain product documentation, release notes, and configuration guides.
- Assist with backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritisation activities.
S/4HANA Programme Support
- Provide support to the S/4HANA programme team during design, build, and deployment phases.
- Help compare ECC and S/4 functional deltas relevant to Retail, supporting impact assessments.
- Support data cleansing and migration activities, including validation and reconciliation tasks.
Key skills
Essential
- Basic understanding of SAP Retail processes within ECC.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to document requirements and processes clearly and concisely.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Enthusiastic about learning new systems, capabilities, and emerging SAP technologies.
Desirable
- Exposure to or familiarity with SAP Retail concepts.
- Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Understanding of Retail industry operations and master data structures.
