A vacancy has arisen within the portfolio team for a lead planner. This role offers development opportunities to a lead position and provides broader exposure at the portfolio level.The purpose of the role is to provide portfolio planning and performance management support. Responsibilities include developing targets, monitoring their delivery, auditing target achievement, reviewing plans and status updates, maintaining controlled documents, developing planning capacity, and managing planning software.The role also involves supporting data development and assessment at the portfolio level and collaborating with the wider team on change control processes.The successful candidate will own the integrated project controls (IPC) guidance and ensure best practices are maintained.Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement site proceduresUndertake assurance and analysis of programme schedules, identifying issues and supporting change control reviewsProvide training and mentoring in planningAnalyze critical paths and schedule restraints, integrating inter-discipline requirementsProvide feedback on portfolio performance during accountability sessionsOversight of targets, support external audits, and ensure targets support mission deliveryBe the expert on planning systems and processesManage Primavera P6 software and relevant authorizationsManage staff as a line managerAptitude and Experience
HND or equivalent qualification plus experienceExperience in a lead planning role or similarAdvanced Primavera P6 skills, especially in regulated environmentsAbility to analyze large data sets for planning and resource issuesExperience in data risk management, cost estimation, and program developmentExperience in multi-project integration and strategic planningExperience in scope document developmentGood IT skills and knowledge of database systemsStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in training and supervising teamsLeadership capabilitiesAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environmentNote: This job is actively recruiting.
