Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Delivering mechanical building services projects from feasibility through to construction and handover, with values ranging from -100k to -5M.
• Managing the time, quality, and delivery of own mechanical designs.
• Producing mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for tender and construction.
• Working closely with other members of the M&E design team to deliver coordinated designs.
• Liaising with clients, architects, and project teams on a day-to-day basis.
• Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to support efficient and buildable designs.
• Undertaking site visits, surveys of existing installations, and monitoring works on site.
• Assisting with the development of trainee and junior staff.
• Attending site and design team meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1+ years'' experience in a mechanical building services design role.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software (or similar).
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant standards (HTMs desirable but not essential).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence
