Job Title: Wood Machinist Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk Pay: 12.50 - 14.00 p/hour Working Hours: 40 hours per week We are looking for a general wood machinist for a carpentry firm in the outskirts of Hadleigh, Suffolk. This is a multi-skilled role which will have you working across various manual machines within the company''s mill. You do not need to be a fully-fledged carpenter / joiner for this role. It is better suited to a skilled labourer who has some manual machining experience. You will need to have a strong working knowledge of basic carpentry and you will be expected to be able to work independently. Machinist duties include: Operating a variety of machinery such as router, spindle moulders, saws etcReading from traditional cutting lists and able to prepare materials prior to machiningOperate basic hand and power tools for any adjustments as and when required for the jobCarry out routine health and safety in the workshopKeep a clean and tidy work station You will need to be familiar with basic woodworking machinery, such as saws, drills, sanders, etc. Hours of work are 07:30-17:00 with an early finish on Fridays.
