About the Role
Adept Resourcing is proud to be recruiting for a leading steel industry business, offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic production team operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

This is not a design role, instead, you will be at the heart of end to end production, accurately interpreting customer specifications, producing digital drawings, and generating machine-ready files to keep production running smoothly. You will work with a variety of plate profiling equipment, ensuring precision, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in programming, workflow continuity, and supporting the production team as the company continues to invest in cutting-edge technology and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and prepare files for plate profiling equipment including plasma, laser, and oxy-fuel machines.

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in machine-specific programming.

• Monitor and manage raw material and consumable stock levels, reordering as required.

• Maintain operational readiness of machinery.

• Process customer orders accurately, meeting specifications and delivery deadlines.

• Interpret technical drawings with strong attention to detail.

• Use 2D CAD software (SigmaNEST experience desirable) to create and modify technical layouts.

• Provide programming and drawing support to the production team.

• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
