Health Care Assistant - ESAU

Supporting Registered Nurses in their daily tasks and highlighting any issues or concerns.Perform patient observations.Perform venepuncture / cannulation (following training).Assist patients with washing and dressing.Assist patients with their nutritional and fluid intake.Maintain good documentation.Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including adherence to strict Infection Control Policy.Provide support and assistance to new and junior members of staff.Perform many other extensive duties.Promote effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team and take measures to overcome communication difficulties.Contribute to the management of aggressive and abusive behaviour.Make general beds and prepare clean beds for new admissions.Assist in keeping the ward environment clean and tidy.Dispose of dirty linen appropriately.Ensure the safe disposal of clinical waste and sharps as per Trust policy.Attend to the needs of visitors and patients, particularly those who may be distressed or bereaved.Care for patients'' property, including valuables, in accordance with Trust policy.We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our nursing team as a Band 3 Health Care Assistant in the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.Your role will be to support registered nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
